Alexis Landín was born in Mexico City in 1997, to parents from Oaxaca and Colonia Morelos—one of the most intense and symbolic territories in the heart of the capital. He grew up surrounded by the Mexican muralist culture, where survival, class struggle, and social tension appear inscribed on the walls as part of the city's collective memory.

Influenced by this urban and popular imagery, Landín developed a gaze deeply linked to the street experience and nightlife of Mexico City. His work explores human fragility, desire, everyday violence, and the intimacy that emerges within a contemporary Mexican reality.
